Behindthe code
Mikesoft is an independent digital studio working remotely, based in Tuscany, Italy. Few projects at a time, one point of contact, nobody standing between the person deciding and the person writing the code.
01Who is behind it
Over ten years of code, always on the same idea.
Michael wrote his first HTML page at thirteen and has never stopped since: first studying and building websites for relatives and friends, then more than ten years of professional work, while continuing to train to stay up to date and improve. Today he leads strategy, technical direction and delivery on every project, for clients spread across Italy and abroad. From the first call to handover the contact never changes, and whoever answers your question is the same person who wrote the line of code in question.
Alongside client projects we publish open source software: VS Code extensions, MCP servers, local-first apps and tax tools. That work lets us test technical choices on real products and contribute to projects maintained by other communities too.
When a project needs another discipline — photography, video, specialist content — we work with selected professionals from the area. Coordination stays with us, and so does responsibility.
The training never stopped: there are certifications behind this from AWS, IBM and Anthropic, mostly on AI-assisted software development. We do not hang them on the wall — they exist so tools get chosen knowingly, and the measure is still the code below.

Rules we set ourselves and do not negotiate.
Short chain
You talk to the person designing and developing. No account manager translating, no brief lost on the way.
Few projects
Few projects in parallel. We keep the workload visible so each one gets proper attention and dates can be planned realistically.
Code that lasts
Written to be read by whoever comes after us. Three years post-launch it still has to fly.

Developer tooling and local-first apps, free to use. Every line is public: you can read it before trusting us with a project.
Super CLI
A single VS Code sidebar to launch Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, OpenCode and the other coding agents. Works in Cursor, Antigravity and Windsurf too, on Windows, macOS and Linux.
KeySoft
An offline-first Android password manager: a locally encrypted vault, biometric unlock and secrets that stay on the device.

04Where we work
Projects across Italy, meetings in Tuscany.
The work is remote, and the method does not change with the distance: calls, an online preview from day one, an update at every step and one person answering. We run projects across Italy and abroad on the same process.
The base is in the province of Lucca: when a project needs a face-to-face, we meet in Tuscany, at your place, with no travel charge. Outside the region the meeting is a video call on Meet or Teams, looking at the same screen together.
