Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how the Mikesoft website uses cookies and equivalent technologies under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, the GDPR consent rules, and the Garante cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021.
At a glance
- Necessary technical tools keep the website working correctly and do not require consent.
- Preference tools remember choices such as language and cookie preferences.
- Google Analytics loads only if you give explicit consent to the Analytics category.
- No advertising or marketing profiling cookies are used.
Manage your preferences
You can review or change cookie preferences, including Analytics consent, at any time from this control.
1. Cookies and localStorage
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Browser localStorage is an equivalent browser technology used to save information locally. Italian and EU rules require prior consent for non-technical cookies and equivalent tools, while strictly technical tools may be used without consent after clear information is provided.
2. Categories used by this site
- Necessary: required for core technical operation, routing, security, and displaying the correct localized version of the website.
- Preferences: used to remember local choices such as language and cookie banner settings.
- Analytics: Google Analytics is optional and starts only after explicit consent. Consent is never inferred from scrolling or continued browsing.
- No advertising profiling: the site does not use advertising, remarketing, or marketing profiling cookies.
3. Technical storage details
These tools are necessary or preference-based. They are stored in the browser and can be cleared from browser settings.
| Technology | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Cookie: mikesoft_locale | Up to 12 months | Stores the selected or detected language (IT/EN) so localized pages and redirects work consistently. |
| localStorage: cookie_consent_preferences | Up to six months | Stores cookie preferences, timestamp, policy version, and the Analytics choice. |
4. Analytics details
Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID G-SL3H25CDBE) loads only if the user accepts the Analytics category. If the user rejects or withdraws consent, the Google tag is not loaded and previously set analytics cookies are removed from the browser where technically possible.
| Cookie | Indicative duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Up to 2 years | Used by GA4 to distinguish users for aggregated website statistics. |
| _ga_<measurement-id> | Up to 2 years | Used by GA4 to maintain session state for the Analytics property. |
Google states that GA4 JavaScript tags use first-party cookies and that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses for users in the EU. Google Analytics may still process online identifiers, cookie identifiers, device identifiers, and client identifiers as described in Google's official service information.
5. How to change or withdraw consent
You can reopen the cookie preferences control on this page to enable or disable Analytics. Withdrawing consent prevents Google Analytics from loading on future visits from the same browser, unless you change the choice again. In line with the Garante guidance, consent choices are remembered and the banner is not repeatedly shown unless preferences expire after six months, the browser data is cleared, or the processing conditions materially change.
6. Browser controls
You can also manage or clear cookies and localStorage directly from your browser. Here are guides for common browsers:
